About the Trojans

The Trojans have been in the Torquay Skittles League since time began.

We constantly evolve but there are still a core of the original players in the team. The main aspect of or game is to try and have as much fun playing whilst trying to put the opposition off as much as possible, Oh and also play skittles. We play out of the ExServicemens Club in Paignton on the Kirkham Street alleys.

Andy"Fluffy"Paton - Fluffy's interests include novel ways of using curling tongs, Hair removal products, and Praying for that "BIG" score in skittles over "38"
Brian"Coach"Porter - Coach can be found at the end of the alley muttering obscenities under his breath as the next Trojan player puts a ball through. Brian "Teddy" Saunders - Sometimes called the Chip King and no he does not fix windscreens. This man is not to be approached by the general public he has be known to remove 70% of his clothes the moment he hears a rock song and can often be found at the end of the alley playing Air Guitar. Brian "BT" Thomas - Plays exceptionally well and can always get the team chanting with some of those old calls like, Look at the pins BT or You can open your eyes this time Brian.

 Glenn "Bomber" Trigwell - Whilst watching video's of the film Dambusters(on betamax), Bomber realised that effective use of the bouncing technique may pay dividends. After much testing using a sophisticated water tank facility at his home (the bath) Bomber was able to perfect the Bouncing ball method.    Kev "Ding Dong" Bell - No job too big for this versatile player, When not playing skittles kev can be found sunning himself at one of his many holiday locations, this player also known as the "Holiday King" should not hold a british passport due to the amount of time he spends away from the UK.  Lee "RunningMan" Hargreaves - Has the ability to glide the full length of the alley as if on rails, NASA would like to analyse him to use his propulsion system as a green alternative to rocket fuels.

 Mike "Magic" Johnson - Magic has the almost mystic ability to try and lift a team when it is meandering in the mire. as you can see from the results it does not often work but hey you can not blame a captain for trying. He dotes on his idol Paul Daniels and has secretly embellished his boudouir with various pictures and life size models of Paul & Debbie. when asked what his wife thought she said "oh thats just f....ng Magic"
